Richard Vogt was born and raised in the Central Coast of California. He graduated from high school in 1986. He met his wife Linda there when he was 19 years old. In 1988 he joined the Army and later that year He and Linda were married. While in the military he was stationed in Germany and served in the Gulf War. In 1992 he left the military to go to college full time where he was a dual major (Physics and Electrical Engineering). While in Pennsylvania going to college he met a young man, Aaron Clippinger, who he studied with frequently. Aaron had shared life and the Gospel with Richard and Linda. In 1994 they both accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. Later that year they moved from Pennsylvania to Las Vegas. Richard began to work in the Civil Engineering field specifically in Land Development. Feeling that God was calling him into ministry Richard enrolled in some schools where he would be able to become equipped for ministry. He received a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Theology, Masters Degree in Biblical Theology, and is near completion of the Doctorate Degree in Biblical Studies. Being prompted by God to plant a church in Las Vegas, Crossroads Baptist Church was born. Richard is passionate about seeing lives transformed by God.

Richard and Linda have two boys, James and Joshua. James is currently enrolled at CSN as a Business Major and expects to receive his Associate Degree in May 2011. His plan is then to work towards a Bachelors Degree in Business. Joshua will be starting 2nd grade in the Fall of 2010. He loves math, reading, video games, and is very physically active.
